Tristan Taormino’s articles in the Village Voice are always interesting, but her reputation ‘began’ with her anal sex book, so when she writes about anal, as she does in her most recent article, it’s definitely worth a read.
She starts by saying “One look at this month’s bestselling porn titles, and the trend is clear: When folks have a choice of threesomes, interracial sex, amateurs, 18-year-olds, MILFs, and nearly every other sexual niche imaginable, they choose anal-themed movies.”.
Well, sure! We all knew that. ;-} That’s why we all choose anal movies, and then fast forward to the anal scenes.
“That’s why in videos, the players’ self-awareness seems more palpable to me during anal sex. It’s like you can see everyone’s brain working: The receiver is saying “breathe, pace yourself, get to that place where it’s gonna work” and the giver is saying “how fast can I go, I want to get this right.”"
For me it all boils down to these essential truths- anal sex is more intense than vaginal sex for the receiver, and anal sex is purely for the pleasure of sex, it’s not for procreation. These two emotional and physical forces unite to make anal sex the most exciting of all sex acts.
