KY Warming Vs. KY Liquid

In an earlier post I said that my favorite sex lube had become KY Warming, but I’ve recently been experimenting with using the two commonly available types of true KY sex lubes, KY Warming and KY Liquid, and I have a few comments to make about them.

Both sex lubes are ‘copies’ of the original Astroglide, the first non-oil-based lube that was regularly available in drug stores and general stores. Somewhat less expensive than astroglide, they’ve been very reliable.

I’ve mentioned before that KY Warming wasn’t as slippery as KY Liquid, and the tests I’ve recently personally conducted bear this out. I think the heat of summer led me to look for something lighter and slicker than the Warming lube, and, to make a long story short, I find myself using the regular ky liquid more than the warming, so it could be that my preference for the warming was a temporary thing.

KY Liquid _IS_ much slipperier. And slippery lube is good.

Do your own tests, of course. It’s fun, educational, and, especially if your woman is a bit more mature, she will appreciate the lube, because it lets her fuck longer and more often.

Speaking of Astroglide, I hear that astroglide will soon be offering a version with a long tip applicator, suitable for inserting into an anus to squeeze in a load of lube. It will be interesting to test this when it comes out. I wonder if they will sell it at Walmart - as conservative as that chain is, it might be too much to expect them to carry a sex lube that is obviously for anal sex.

Thanks for those tidbits on KY. I’m awfully fond of anal sex, but my wife is reluctant. Perhaps a little KY with poppers? What think you? They say Rush is the best, but I don’t know.

Hi tantrahard, sorry to take so long to respond to your comment, I’ve been dealing with a death in the family.

Well, let me tell ya, unless your wife already likes inhalants, I can’t recommend using them, especially for a first time experience. Inhalants like Rush have been popular in the gay community for anal sex, and they do have their place in advanced sex play, but they have drawbacks too, not the least of which is their short length of effect, somewhat overwhelming ‘rush’, strong odor, and possible legal complications if something goes wrong.

Definitely for advanced play only, with a partner who is experienced in using them.

There is really one absolutely best choice of a relaxing drug to make anal sex easier, especially first time anal sex, and that is good old fashioned alcohol. Not too much alcohol either, just a little bit drunk is perfect. The actual amount would depend on how much your wife is experienced with alcohol - if she is already a skilled drinker, let her pick the amount to drink. If she isn’t, I suggest about one and a half drinks to two drinks. A four ounce glass of wine, followed by another half a glass, should produce almost exactly the right amount of playful relaxation.

A little more probably wouldn’t hurt, and I have known some women who like to be a little smashed for anal sex, like 4 drinks + drunk. Alcohol does work well, it’s legal, commonly available, socially acceptable, and it’s likely to leave your partner with fun memories with no overtones of being pressured into anal, which is definitely something you want to avoid if you want your partner to look forward to future anal sessions.
